Does Your Dog Chew on Furniture?

Does Your Dog Chew on Furniture?

Dogs sometimes get confused about what is and isn’t appropriate to chew. I recomment filling a small box with dog toys – rawhides, squeaky toys, tennis balls, whatever your dog enjoys.  Put it right next to the furniture that he’s been working over.  Every time he heads for the furniture, tell him, “No chew,” then tell him “Look in the toy box.”  Most dogs will quickly learn what the words mean, especially if you get them started by occasionally salting the box with a couple of dog biscuits.
